4.You can restore any idevic in a two ways " DFU" or" Recovery"

DFU.

• Connect the idevice to your computer and lunch iTunes
• Turn the idevice off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone)
• Hold down the sleep/power button and home together for exactly 10 seconds,then release the power button.
• Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected.
• When you are in DFU mode your iDevice screen completely blank.

Recovery

•  Turn the idevice off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone) and slide to power off.
• Connect the idevice to your computer by holding Home button.
• Continue to hold Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recovery mode has been detected
• When you are in Recovery mode iTunes logo with cable seen on the iPhone screen.

Now click on your choice you have to restore or update.

Here is also two method 

• One of is online update by which iTunes automatic download compatible latest firmware for  your device.It depend on your internet how fast download the firmware.After download complete iTunes automatically starts to upgrade your device.
• Another is offline download method.In that method you have to already download compatible firmware for your device.
• Wait for job to finish.
• Now you can able to restore all idevice in a perfect way.
